About

A Little Wild Farm began the way most meaningful things do – quietly.

It’s a small farm, a growing family and a life shaped by seasons more than schedules. A place where days are measured in light and weather, muddy boots gather by the door and the work of tending land and home weaves itself into everything else.

This space is where I share that life as it unfolds – the photographs, the stories, the ordinary moments that end up meaning the most. Life on the farm isn’t always romantic or slow, but it’s rooted. There is beauty here, even on the hard days, and rhythm in the repetition.

You’ll find glimpses of farm life, the animals that share the land with us, the quiet work of home and kitchen and the small rituals that hold our days together. Some stories are practical, others reflective, many are simply moments I don’t want to forget.

A Little Wild Farm isn’t a brand or a blueprint. It’s a journal. A record of seasons passing, children growing, hands making and mending, and a life lived a little closer to the land.

If you’ve found your way here, you’re welcome to stay awhile. Wander through the journal, linger over the photographs and take what feels useful or familiar. There’s no rush – everything worth keeping unfolds in its own time.

I also keep a small photo journal here.

Notes from the farm.

    Hadley and Dan,

My sister Kim was good enough to forward me the link to your blog. I will certainly follow and share with likeminded folk. I love your notes and associated pics. You guys have chosen a wonderful lifestyle that many of us long for. Hard work and appreciating the splendidness of that around us brings rich rewards. You have a wonderful eye behind the lens. Keep up the good work and passion for a life of adventure in the natural world.
We live in Stratford, Ont and try to support our friends and neighbours in sustainable ( tough in todays age ) farming. Being a displaced country boy living in an urban environment, it’s nice to just be in contact with those making their way in natural farming. I know some who will certainly love your scribes. Our 14 yr old daughter Elizabeth will certainly enjoy visiting you through this medium. What you are doing is certainly an agenda she wishes to emulate as an adult.

    Regards
