Meet The Burches!
Home… I was born in small town Ontario and moved to Alberta seven years ago. Dan was born and raised an Albertan. Together we have 160 acres of land in North Western Alberta.
Heart… I love to get lost in a good book; sipping on a steaming cup of tea. I love warm bubble baths accompanied by a good glass of wine. I enjoy time in the garden, fresh air and sunshine. I love exploring with my lens and capturing life’s moments in photos. I try to play the banjo and have taught myself to knit and sew.
Farm… What started out with one hand built coop and eight chickens has turned into two coops, 15(ish) chickens, three rescue pot belly pigs, two miniature donkeys, two alpaca, three goats and our three big bear dogs.
Follow us as we learn and grow in our journey to self-sustainment here on our little funny farm!

You guys have chosen a wonderful lifestyle that many of us long for. Hard work and appreciating the splendidness of that around us brings rich rewards. You have a wonderful eye behind the lens. Keep up the good work and passion for a life of adventure in the natural world.
We live in Stratford, Ont and try to support our friends and neighbours in sustainable ( tough in todays age ) farming. Being a displaced country boy living in an urban environment, it’s nice to just be in contact with those making their way in natural farming. I know some who will certainly love your scribes. Our 14 yr old daughter Elizabeth will certainly enjoy visiting you through this medium. What you are doing is certainly an agenda she wishes to emulate as an adult.
